Shutter is a 1:50 short film and uses micro and macro features to create a successful suspenseful short. In the short cinematography is utilised to create a very dramatic short, close ups of hands, faces and objects are displayed through out the short. They are used commonly in the sequence as they allow the audience to see in detail what is in the frame such as facial expressions but additionally creating mystery and tension to see what is outside the shot/frame and this unknown knowledge is what can be suspenseful.

The short shows typical cinematography from the Thriller genre, using POV in the short. It allows the audience to feel apart of the story and see what the characters see. It can also create tension as the villains we watch, can now look down the lens towards us as we are in the eyes of the character.
